A Study on the Goal of National Health Promotion and Health Indicator System


Abstract
The ultimate goal of national health policy is to improve national health status. Health promotion is meant to comprise all efforts directed at the protection, maintenance and improvement of health potential. The purposes of this study are to suggest a concept of health promotion and health indicator system.
The two part of this study : to review the concepts of health promotion ; to develop the framework of health indicator system This study used the conceptual health promotion approach to develop health indicator system. The health indicator system that was suggested in this study contains 3 areas and 11 sub-areas. The 3-areas are health recognition and practice, heath care services and healthy environment. The health indicator system is as .
According to national health situation, the concept of health promotion and setting of national health promotion have various forms. This study may contributes to review the concept of health promotion and develop the health indicator system.
